Planted in the Front Range, Sara Van Hecke is making a name for herself in Colorado’s musical realm.
Enchanted by Chicago’s vibrant music scene as a young singer songwriter, Sara Van Hecke serenaded crowds in famed concert halls such as The House of Blues, The Bottom Lounge, and The Beat Kitchen. Bustling rooms fell silent carefully listening to her radically honest and personal songwriting.
After moving to Colorado Springs, Sara released her freshman album “Sun Soul” on the Summer Solstice of 2022. She has performed at the Folk 'n' Flannel festival, Hillside Gardens concert series and local spots such as Oscar Blues, Buffalo Lodge Bicycle Resort, Meraki Springs and Kinship Landing. Sara made her debut on the TEDx stage showcasing her original tunes with Manitou Springs’ TEDx chapter in February 2025. In the summers of 2024 and 2025, Sara brought her songs to the road and toured through the Midwest and Pacific Northwest. Sara’s newest single ‘I’m Already Gone’ is the first of her upcoming album ‘Moon Dance’ which will be released single by single in 2026.
Sara has over 15 years of performing, songwriting and recording experience and draws inspiration from artists like Fleet Foxes, Norah Jones and Brandi Carlile. Sara’s original tunes are grounded yet dreamlike - weaving authentic moments with the curiosities of life. Intentionally crafting set lists of original songs as well as a mix of folk, indie, Americana and jazz covers - Sara is perfect for your bar, festival, wedding or special event and ready to set the ultimate raw and dreamy vibe for you.
